Sore throat is a fairly common disease in the community, all ages can get the disease, although not life-threatening, if not treated early can cause unpredictable complications.
WHAT IS PHARYNGITIS AND BRONCHITIS?
Pharyngitis is an infection of the throat. When you have the disease, you will feel a sore throat and fever. Other symptoms may include a runny nose, cough, headache, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes in the jaw, and hoarseness. Symptoms usually last 3-5 days. Complications may include sinusitis and acute otitis media. Pharyngitis is a type of upper respiratory tract infection.

Two or three sore throats in a year are not uncommon. Sore throats were the cause of 15 million doctor visits in the United States in 2007. Sore throats are the most common cause of sore throats.
PROBLEM STATEMENT AND SOLUTION
Currently, the rate of people suffering from this disease is on the rise, early detection and treatment of the disease increases the chance of curing the disease, by using the right medicine and preventive measures.
However, the use of modern medicine to treat pharyngitis, although it has the advantage of being quick, can lead to some unwanted side effects. Therefore, the current treatment trend is to use products derived from medicinal herbs that effectively treat pharyngitis with the effect of reducing cough, reducing phlegm, reducing sore throat caused by pharyngitis, bronchitis, while being safe and having few side effects for users.
On that basis, Sam Sam Company Limited has produced SAVINA lozenges with ingredients from Ngoc Linh Ginseng Ngoc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs: Acanthopanax, Ginger, Red Garlic. The product was evaluated for preclinical effects at Saigon SAPHARCEN Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Center. The results showed that SAVINA has the effect of reducing cough, reducing phlegm, and reducing sore throat caused by pharyngitis and bronchitis.
RESEARCH AND EVALUATION Pharmacological
test results at Saigon Science and Technology Center (SAPHARCEN), University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City:
1. SAVINA lozenges at a dose of 1.71 tablets/kg showed a cough treatment effect, reducing the number of coughs in 5 minutes similar to the control Neo-codion at a dose of 25 mg/kg.
2. Regarding the expectorant effect, SAVINA lozenges at both doses of 0.855 tablets/kg and 1.71 tablets/kg showed a similar expectorant effect and similar to the control Ambroxol at a dose of 30 mg/kg.

- Ngoc Linh ginseng ( Panax vietnamensis Ha et Grushv ) 9,500 mcg
- Schefflera heptaphylla (L.) Frodin ) 324 mg
- Ginger ( Zingiber officinale Roscoe ) 232 mg
- Red garlic ( Eleutherine subaphylla Gagnep. ) 476 mg
Excipients: sucralose, compressuc (including sucrose and maltodextrins), menthol, ginger essential oil, sodium benzoate, magnesium stearate, water just enough for 1 lozenge.
