Sam Sam Company Limited was established on 09/08/2015, originally a specialized unit for planting, preserving, and propagating Ngoc Linh ginseng in Village 2, Tra Linh Commune, Nam Tra My District – recognized as the original ginseng area, with forest plantation ecological conditions suitable and favorable for the growth and development of Ngoc Linh ginseng, thus making the ginseng more valuable compared to other growing regions.
In November 2016 – entrusted by the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee to use the Ngoc Linh ginseng forest plantation environment in Tra Linh Commune, Nam Tra My District, with an area of 10 hectares. With a commitment to research and develop the plantation area, applying scientific and technological methods to produce Ngoc Linh ginseng products. Up to the present moment, the company has planted approximately 250,000 Ngoc Linh ginseng trees on a 10-hectare area and is expanding the plantation to a 100-hectare area to create product value and aim towards nationwide usage of this Vietnamese National Treasure.
Sam Sam has built a specialized seed center for research and implementation of propagation processes: Combining natural propagation (seed sowing) and in-vitro asexual propagation. The supply capacity reaches 250,000 seedlings/year and ensures conditions to increase supply to 1 million seedlings/year in 2021.
From 7/2017 – 7/2020: The company led a research project to prepare and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of “Ngoc Linh Ginseng Soft Capsules”. After examination, the project will be published and launched to the market in early 2021.
In 2020, the processing plant for manufacturing high-end preparations from Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal plants, with an area of 05 hectares in Tam Thang Industrial Park, Quang Nam Province, has become operational.
