On the morning of November 13, in Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association held its first Congress, term 2024 – 2029.
The Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association was established on the basis of separation from the Ngoc Linh Mountain Ginseng and Tra My Cinnamon Association. Immediately after its establishment on August 2, 2024, the association had 126 individuals and businesses registered to join the membership, including 48 members who are ginseng growers, 37 members who are businesses inside and outside the province, and 41 reserve members.
Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association was established with the aim of ensuring the legitimate interests of members, as well as consumers of Ngoc Linh ginseng products in accordance with the law. In particular, focusing on improving the professional qualifications and quality of production and business for members; market research, trade promotion in the field of Ngoc Linh ginseng.
The Association also plays a consulting role for authorities on issues related to ginseng security, prevention of fake Ngoc Linh ginseng, control of ginseng quality; coordinates with authorities to handle violations in the ginseng field, contributing to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the Association and its members in particular, and Ngoc Linh ginseng growers and traders in general…
Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu highly appreciated the Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association for promptly organizing the first congress after its establishment. Mr. Ho Quang Buu suggested that the Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association operate in accordance with the law and the association’s charter; help people and businesses develop the economy; and pay attention to digital transformation. District and commune-level localities should actively support the association’s development.
The Congress elected the first Executive Committee of 19 members and the Inspection Committee of 3 members. General Director of Sam Sam Company Limited – Mr. Nguyen Duc Luc was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association for the 2024 – 2029 term.
